W.P.(C) 9006/2017 & CM No. 36829/2017 Mr. Jagjit Singh rakes up the issue of maintainability of the writ petition, in the first instance.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if, the representation dated 27th September, 2017 made on behalf of the petitioner to the respondents, a copy whereof finds place at running page 156 and is Annexure P-9
to the instant petition, is disposed off giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, at the earliest. Mr. Jagjit Singh, learned Standing Counsel for Railways, submits that the said representation shall be disposed off at the earliest, giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, if required or considered proper. In view of the foregoing, without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties, writ petition is disposed off with the directions to the Competent Authority of the Northern Railways to dispose off the subject representation, which is at running page 156 and is Annexure P-9 to the instant petition, within three weeks from today.
