% 15.12.2017 By this petition, the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to re-establish social ties with the family members and the society. The petitioner was convicted for offence punishable under Section 302 IPC and awarded imprisonment for life by the learned Trial Court. However, in appeal, the sentence of the appellant was modified to imprisonment for a period of seven years. As per the Nominal Roll, the remaining sentence of the appellant is 5 days, if fine is paid.

Considering the fact that the sentence of the appellant is almost concluded and only sentence in default of payment of fine has to be undergone if fine is not paid, this Court find no ground to grant parole to the petitioner.

The petition is dismissed.

A copy of this order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent, Tihar Jail.
