O R D E R

% 13.10.2017 Respondent no.2 is present in Court alongwith her counsel and has been identified by ASI Jaiveer Singh, PS Khajuri Khas. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She says that her marriage with the petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Court, North-East District, Delhi on 31st May, 2015.

Petitioner has paid `50,000/- to the respondent towards balance settlement amount.

Respondent no.2 submits that with this payment, the entire settled amount stands received from the petitioner and is, therefore,

not willing to pursue the FIR any further.

Keeping in mind that marriage between the petitioner and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by mutual consent and respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 72/2012 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Khajuri Khas and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
