A detailed status report has been filed by the DCP, outer district. As per the detailed status report, the petitioner has been involved in 32 cases out of which he has been convicted in 17 cases and is a bad character of PS Aman Vihar Police Station. Copy of the status report has been handed over to learned counsel for the petitioner.

However, considering that the factum of engagement and marriage of the daughter of the petitioner has been verified which are to be performed on 29th January, 2018 and 5th February, 2018 respectively, the Superintendent, Tihar Jail is directed to take the petitioner in custody with police escort in civil dress on 29th January, 2018 and 5th February, 2018 to the venue so that W.P.(CRL) 2933/2017

the petitioner can attend the engagement and marriage of his daughter. Since the two programmes on 29th January, 2018 and 5th February, 2018 are fixed at 7.00 PM and 8.00 PM respectively, the Superintendent, Tihar Jail will ensure that the petitioner reaches the venue to attend the two programmes at 4.00 PM in the evening and is brought back to jail after conclusion of the ceremonies and the programmes. 3.

Petition is disposed of.
