Crl.M.A.17482/2017 in W.P.(CRL) 2890/2017 The petitioner had been granted parole for a period of two weeks for the purposes of enabling her to participate in the last rites of her father who expired on 09.10.2017.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that she is required to surrender on 01.11.2017. It has further been submitted that the petitioner could not be released immediately after the passing of the order and the last of the functions which is to be held at her home is on 10.11.2017. As such, a prayer has been made for extension of the parole granted to the petitioner.

For the reasons stated in the application seeking extension of parole, the prayer is allowed.

The parole of the petitioner is extended till 11.11.2017. The petitioner shall positively surrender on or before 11.11.2017 before the concerned jail authority. The petitioner shall be subject to the same conditions which have been imposed upon her by order dated 16.10.2017.

A copy of the order be communicated to the Superintendent of the concerned jail.
