O R D E R

% 17.10.2017 Petitioner is brother-in-law (sister's husband) of respondent no. 2. A quarrel took place between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 on some trivial issue, which led to registration of the present FIR no.2727/2015 under Sections 354/509 IPC at Police Station Shakarpur on the complaint of respondent no.2.

With the intervention of elders in the family and other relatives, petitioner and respondent no. 2 are stated to have settled their disputes amicably; therefore, aforesaid FIR may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Shri Gopal of Police Station Shakarpur. She says that she has now settled

the matter with the petitioner of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Respondent no. 2 submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. Keeping in view the above fact and more particularly the fact that a civil dispute arose between the family members, which they have now settled amicably in order to maintain harmonious relation in future, in the interest of justice, FIR no.2727/2015 under Sections 354/509 IPC registered at Police Station Shakarpur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
