O R D E R

% 06.11.2017 The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail as he is apprehending his arrest in connection with FIR No. 148/17 under Sections 186/353/354/509/506 IPC registered at Police Station Mandir Magar, New Delhi. A status report dated 02.11.2017 has been filed by the police, according to which, two complaints were made by the complainant in which inquiries were conducted by the police and except the version of the complainant, no other substantial evidence has come on record. The complainant's only apprehension, that the petitioner may harm her, has not been concluded to be a cognizable offence. The petitioner is stated to have joined the investigation.

In the circumstances, a case is made out by the petitioner for grant of

interim protection.

Consequently, it is directed that in the event of arrest of the petitioner in FIR No. 148/17 under Sections 186/353/354/509/506 IPC registered at Police Station Mandir Marg, New Delhi, he be released on bail on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with a surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer, subject to the following conditions:

(i) the petitioner shall continue to participate the investigation as and when he is so intimated by the Investigating Officer; (ii) he shall made no attempt, directly or indirectly, to contact the complainant or her relatives or close associates; (iii) his mobile phone number 9911208554 shall be operational at all times, so that the police could contact him;

(iv) he shall not make any effort to evade the process of law; and (v) in case of change of the phone numbers or address, the petitioner shall inform the police forthwith.

Any observation made in this order shall have no bearing on the merits of the case.

The petition is disposed off.
