O R D E R

% 06.02.2019 This petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act') has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for the Arbitral Tribunal to pass the Award.

In spite of service of notice, none appears for the respondent. The Arbitrator on 19.09.2018 had recorded as under: "It is made clear that since 6 month extended time given by parties is going to expire on 30th September, 2018 and only evidence of both the parties have been Completed. Three months more time is required to complete the proceedings with regard to award. As Hon'ble High Court now can extend the time of 3 Months for Arbitration Proceedings, parties and their counsels have taken responsibility to get the time extended for 3 (Three) months more from 1st October, 2018 till 31st December, 2018 from Hon'ble High Court in order to avoid termination of proceedings as arguments in the matter are still to be heard. For that purpose with consent of

parties 16th October, 2018 has been fixed for filing written arguments /synopsis by parties and 25th & 26th October for addressing arguments by Claimants Counsel at 3:30 PM at Chamber No.161, Lawyers Chamber, Delhi High Court, New Delhi. Now to come up on 25th & 26th October, 2018 at 3:30 PM for arguments of Claimant."

Having perused the contents of the petition and the order passed by the Arbitrator, the time for making of the Award by the Sole Arbitrator is extended till 15.02.2019.

The petition is allowed in the above terms with no order as to costs.
