On the last date, the petitioner had in order to amicably settle the matter, made an offer to pay a sum of Rs.1,25,000/- to the respondent in lieu of all his claims against the petitioner when the learned counsel for the respondent had sought time to obtain instructions.

The Registry is directed to forthwith release a sum of Rs.1,20,000/- to the petitioner along with proportionate interest. The said offer is acceptable to the learned counsel for the petitioner. 4.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the above settlement. The Registry is directed to forthwith release the amount as deposited along with interest accrued thereon in favour of the respondent immediately. The parties will remain bound by their statement.
