The present petition has been filed with the following prayers:- "It is therefore, most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to pass appropriate writ/order/directions to the Respondents;

a) To consider the case of the Petitioners for promotion by convening Departmental Promotion Committee and take necessary action as recommended by the DPC.

b) to promote the Petitioners as PGT(Commerce), PGT(Economics) and TGT (Science) with effect from the date on which the aforesaid posts became vacant.

c) Pass any other order(s) which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice."

Learned counsel for the parties would concede that the petitioners have been granted promotion as PGT(Commerce), PGT(Economics) and TGT(Science) respectively, though on ad-hoc basis. The only issue, which arises for consideration is, whether the promotions need to be considered as on regular basis.

Learned counsel for the respondent No.3 states, the promotions were given on ad-hoc basis for the reason, the application of the respondent No.3 for being declared as a minority institution was pending consideration. He states, such declaration has since been given by the Competent Authority and the promotions of the petitioners on the aforesaid posts shall be treated as regular from the dates they have been granted ad-hoc promotions i.e April 01, 2016. The statement is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioners state, the aforesaid shall satisfy the grievance of the petitioners and the petition be disposed of, as such. Ordered accordingly.
