% 29.11.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1. Learned counsel for respondent no. 2 also accepts notice. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that matter has been settled with respondent no. 2, inasmuch as settled amount has also been paid; therefore, FIR No. 2584/2015 under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act (Amend). 2003 registered at Police Station Mehrauli and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Counsel for respondent no. 2 admits that the matter has been settled between the petitioners and respondent no. 2. He says that settled amount

already been paid; therefore, respondent no. 2 has no objection in case aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
