The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.187/2016 under Section 354(A)/506 IPC, Police Station Karol Bagh. As per the FIR, the petitioner/accused is alleged to have held the hand of the complainant and pulled her towards him. 2.
Respondent No.2 is present in person and has produced her Aadhar Card, copy of which is already annexed at page 17. She submits that she has settled the disputes with the petitioner. The Settlement Agreement in the form of a compromise has been annexed with the petition.
Respondent No.2/complainant submits that since she has settled with the petitioner, she does not wish to prosecute the criminal proceedings any further.

In view of the fact that the respondent No.2 has settled the disputes with the petitioner and does not wish to press any charges CRL.M.C. 109/2018
against the petitioner, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in continuing with the criminal proceedings as there is a slim change of a conviction. Further, it would be expedient and in the interest of justice that the FIR No.187/2016 under Section 354(A)/506 IPC, Police Station Karol Bagh and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed. FIR No.187/2016 under Section 354(A)/506 IPC, Police Station Karol Bagh, and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. 5.
The petitioners shall deposit cost of Rs.10,000/- with "Delhi Child Welfare Fund", Department of Women and Child Development, 1A, Canning Lane, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi, within a period of two weeks from today. Receipt of deposit of the costs imposed by this Order be furnished to the concerned Investigating Officer within a period of three weeks from today. 6.
