% 27.10.2017 This is a petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India by the petitioner, who claims to be vending at 15A/13, Ajmal Khan Road, Karol Bagh, New Delhi since the year 2007. In Support of his claim, petitioner has filed copies of challans pertaining to the year 2007 and 2012. Petitioner complains of harassment by the officials of the respondents. Mr. Jain, enters appearance on an advance copy for respondent no.1, submits the area in question is a 'no hawking', 'no vending' zone. The petitioner is blocking free flow of traffic and free movement of pedestrian. Counsel further submits that the petitioner is not a regular street vendor and only challans pertaining to the year 2007 and 2012 have been placed on record. His name is not found mentioned in the list prepared by either Chopra Committee or

Chaturvedi Committee. Counsel also submits that the respondents continue to carry out removal drive to make the area encroachment free and they cannot allow any street vendor to vend in the area in question. Having regard to the submissions made and the stand taken by the respondents that the area in question is 'no hawking', 'no vending' zone and also that the petitioner has not been able to show that his name is found mentioned in the list prepared either by Chopra Committee or Chaturvedi Committee and only the challans pertaining to the year 2007 and 2012 have been filed by him, we find no ground to entertain this petition. The same is accordingly dismissed.
