O R D E R

% 30.10.2017 The instant petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking quashing of FIR No. 421/2009 under Sections 279/337/338 IPC registered at Police Station-Hauz Khas, Delhi on the complaint of respondent No.2 and the proceedings pursuant thereto on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes in terms of the settlement recorded on 25.05.2017 before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi. Notice. Learned APP for the State accepts notice. Injured/respondent No. 2 and the complainant/Respondent No. 3 are present in Court today and identified by the Investigating Officer. They state that they has settled the matter with the petitioner with their own free will and choice without any threat, pressure and coercion in terms of the Crl. M.C. 4367/2017

Settlement recorded on 25.05.2017 before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi and they do not wish to pursue the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto qua the criminal proceedings. Today, balance amount of Rs.20,000/- each has been paid by the petitioner to the respondent No. 2 and 3 in Court today. Statements of the parties have been recorded separately. In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences voluntarily out of their own free will and without any coercion, pressure, and no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings. It would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. Consequently, FIR No. 421/2009 under Sections 279/337/338 IPC registered at Police Station-Hauz Khas, Delhi, and proceedings pursuant thereto qua the criminal proceedings, are hereby quashed.

The petition is disposed of.
