O R D E R

% 01.11.2017 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 were known to each other being friends. It is submitted that a quarrel took place between them on some trivial matter which led to registration of FIR No. 1429/2015 under Sections 342/323/354(A)(1)/354(B)/506 IPC against the petitioner at police station Shakarpur, on the complaint of respondent no.2. It is further submitted that with the intervention of their common friends, petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Compromise/Settlement Deed/Memorandum of Understanding dated 1st September, 2017, therefore, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Respondent no.2 is

present in Court and has been identified by SI Shri Gopal of police station Shakarpur. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, therefore, she is not interested in pursuing the FIR any further and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 and respondent no.2 does not wish to pursue the FIR any further, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
