1. A status report dated 18th January, 2018 has been filed today by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station (PS) Sagarpur, Delhi, in which inter alia, it is mentioned that on 29th November, 2017, after Himanshi Sharma, daughter of the Petitioner turned 18, she had started using her Facebook account.

2. On 8th December, 2017, an envelope containing a marriage certificate of

Himanshi Sharma and Ankit Solanki issued by the Arya Samaj Mandir Jankipuram was received at PS Sagarpur via speed post. Along with it, an order of Allahabad High Court granting protection to the couple was also received. An application was addressed to the SHO of P.S. Sagarpur, Delhi, in which Himanshi stated that she had married Ankit of her own free will, without any fear or pressure from anybody.

3. The documents relating to date of birth of Ankit Solanki were obtained from Government Senior Secondary School, Sagarpur on 18th December 2017, according to which, his date of birth was 14th June, 1999. The marriage registered at Arya Samaj Mandir, Jankipuram was also confirmed.

4. It is further stated in the status report that on 12th January, 2018, Himanshi appeared before this Court in W.P.(Crl.) 109/2018 with a prayer to quash the FIR No.221/2017 registered at Police Station Sagarpur at the instance of the Petitioner. The next date of hearing in the said petition is stated to be 12th February, 2018. She has been directed to appear before this Court today, pursuant thereto she is present. She reiterates that she and Ankit Solanki are, in fact, present in Delhi.

5. The SHO, P.S. Sagarpur is directed to verify their present address. Both Himanshi and Ankit will cooperate with SHO in this regard. They will furnish to him their respective mobile numbers as well as their present address. He is directed to ensure that if they seek any protection, he extends it without any delay.

6. The parents of Himanshi are present in Court and have expressed concern

about the safety and security of Himanshi.

7. In view of Himanshi's own statement and the fact that this Court has directed the SHO to ensure the safety and security of Himanshi and Ankit, the Court does not consider it necessary to issue any further directions in this regard.
