% 23.11.2017 This writ petition seeks following reliefs:
".... a. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction for prosecution of all the persons engaging in the criminal acts as set out in this petition.
b. Pass an order or direction to the police to take interrogative steps against the accused identified by the petitioners in the FIR No. 0096/17 and also in the statement made to the Investigating officer at the Hospital. c. Pass an order to provide police protection to the petitioners as they are being harassed every now and then. d. Pass any such further order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case...."
Pursuant to the complaint filed by the petitioner a FIR bearing no. 96/2017 under Sections 307/452/506/34 of the IPC as well as under Section 25/27 of the Arms Act was filed at police station I.P. Estate. Eight persons have been named in the said FIR, of whom two have been arrested and one
has been granted anticipatory bail. Mr. Sanjay Lao, the learned ASC for the State states that efforts are underway to expeditiously complete the investigation and file a final report, preferably in the next eight weeks. In the aforesaid circumstances, nothing further survives in the writ petition. The writ petition is disposed off accordingly. NAJMI WAZIRI, J NOVEMBER 23, 2017/kk
