% 31.10.2017 In this petition, implementation of the amendments in the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 is sought by petitioner. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner had sent a Representation of 7th August, 2017 (Annexure P-5), but there is no response to it from respondent-School.

In the facts and circumstances of this case, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of this petition with direction to respondent-School to decide petitioner's Representation (Annexure P-5) within a period of four weeks by passing a speaking order and the fate of the representation be made known to petitioner a week thereafter so that petitioner may avail of the remedies as available in law, if need be.
