Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that only the Investigating Officer remains to be examined. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that in case this Court passes direction to the Trial Court for expeditious trial of the matter, he may be granted permission to withdraw the bail application. Accordingly, the petitioner is granted permission to withdraw the bail application.

The bail application is dismissed as withdrawn. The Trial Court is directed to expedite the proceedings. It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the bail application.
