CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU

O R D E R

% 08.11.2017 CM No. 40296/2017 1.

Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.

W.P.(C) 9888/2017 & CM No.40295/2017 2.

The petitioner - a practicing lawyer - has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that respondents be directed to allot a chamber to the petitioner in Lawyer's Chamber Block, Saket Court Complex, New Delhi. 3.

The petitioner claims to be the founder member of the Saket Bar Association and had applied for allotment of a chamber pursuant to a notification inviting applications that was published on 26.05.2014. The petitioner's grievance is that the list of eligible applicants (which was displayed on 12.11.2014) does not include her name.

4.

The petitioner claims that she is eligible for allotment of a chamber and her name has been excluded illegally. The petitioner further states that she made a representation on 25.09.2017 but has received no response to the same.

5.

The learned counsel appearing for respondent no.1 states that the representations received (including that of the petitioner) have been referred to a sub-committee and is pending consideration. 6.

In view of the above statement, the present petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No.1 to examine the petitioner's representation and communicate its decision as expeditiously as possible. In the event, the petitioner is aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is at liberty to apply. 7.

The petition and application are disposed of with the aforesaid directions.
