Directions, in exercise of jurisdiction under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, are sought for expeditious disposal of Eviction Petition No.202/2012 titled "Sh. Vijay Shanker Moondhra Vs. M/s Dharamson" of the Court of Sh. Jagminder Singh, Additional Rent Controller (ARC), District Central, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi. 4.

The petition for eviction with respect to which directions are sought, was filed under Section 14(1)(e) of the Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958 in or about the year 2012. Leave to defend the petition was granted to the respondent on 20th February, 2015.

The counsel for the petitioner draws attention to the order sheet of the ARC to demonstrate repeated adjournments being sought by the counsel for the respondent.

The petition has already remained pending for over five years. 7.

For issuing directions as sought, issuance of notice to the respondent is not deemed necessary.

On enquiry, it is informed that the petition for eviction is still at the stage of cross-examination of the petitioner. The counsel for the petitioner states that besides the petitioner, four other witnesses are to be examined. 9.

This petition is disposed of by requesting the learned ARC, District Central, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi to dispose of Eviction Petition No.202/2012 titled "Sh. Vijay Shanker Moondhra Vs. M/s Dharamson" on or before 31st July, 2018.
