O R D E R

% 12.03.2018 Crl. M.A. 4603/2018 (Directions) During the pendency of this petition, a compromise has been arrived at between the petitioner (accused) and respondent no.2 (complainant). Accordingly, it is prayed that FIR No. 56/2013 under Section 354 IPC registered at police station Kalkaji, on the complaint of respondent no.2Geeta Giri may be quashed. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Satwinder of police station Kalkaji. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion vide

Compromise/Settlement Deed dated 8th February, 2018. Photocopy of the settlement deed has been placed on record. Affidavit of respondent no.2 has also been annexed as Annexure 'B' to this petition. She has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

I am satisfied that compromise has been arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, therefore, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Application as well as petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Date fixed in the matter, that is, 6th April, 2018 is cancelled. Dasti.
