The application stands disposed off.

W.P.(CRL) 3071/2017 This petition seeks parole of the petitioner for discussing with his ailing grandfather the matter of division of latter's properties to the petitioner and to other relatives. According to the Status Report filed by the State, the address furnished by the petitioner has been verified. It has also been verified that Mr. Salimuddin, the grandfather of the petitioner is 85 years old and is suffering from heart disease along with other age related ailments, for which he is being treated at Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital. The Status Report also shows that Mr. Salimuddin wishes to discuss the matter of division of property with the petitioner and other family members. In the circumstances, in order to facilitate the petitioner to keep social and familial ties, a case is made out for grant of parole.

Consequently, the petitioner is enlarged on parole for a period of two months from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent concerned, subject to the following conditions:- (1) the petitioner shall report to the SHO concerned, Police Station Bharat Nagar, Delhi, once a week on every Tuesday during the period of parole;

(2) the petitioner shall furnish his mobile telephone number, which he undertakes to keep operational at all times, to the SHO concerned; (3) the petitioner shall not leave the territory of NCT of Delhi; and (4) the petitioner shall surrender before the jail authorities at the expiry of the period of parole.
