Issue notice. The learned counsel appearing for respondent accepts notice.

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondent to provide the petitioner with a copy of her Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card.

The petitioner claims to be a person of Indian Origin and is a holder of the Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) Card (PO142827). The learned counsel for the petitioner also points out that by virtue of the notification dated 09.01.2015 all PIO Card Holders were deemed to be OCI Card Holders. He submits that by virtue of the said notification, the petitioner is now deemed to be an OCI Card Holder, however, she has not received her

OCI Card. The petitioner further claims that she had made an online application for issue of the OCI Card on 22.02.2017 (File No.

INDT00050X17); however, she has not received any response to her application.

In view of the above, the respondent is directed to process the petitioner's application for the OCI Card within a period of four weeks in accordance with law. If the respondent is of the view that the petitioner is to be denied the OCI Card, the respondent shall communicate the reasons thereof within a period of four weeks from today. 5.

The petition and the application are disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
