$~56 *
IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI
+ CRL.M.C. 4608/2017 SAMUNDER SINGH ..... Petitioner Through:
Mr. Ravi Chawla, Adv.
versus THE STATE GOVT OF NCT OF DELHI & ANR..... Respondents Through:
Mr. Amit Gupta, APP for State with SI P.L. Meena, P.S. Aman Vihar.
Respondent no.2 in person.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 09.11.2017 Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI P.L. Meena of police station Aman Vihar. He submits that petitioner was known to him. Petitioner quarrelled and misbehaved with him, as a result whereof he lodged FIR No. 1144/2016 under Sections 3(i)(r)(s) of Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 at police station Aman Vihar against the petitioner. He further submits that with the intervention of their common friends he has now settled the matter with the petitioner of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. He has no objection in case FIR is quashed.
Keeping in mind that petitioner and respondent no.2 were known to each other and a quarrel ensued between them on some trivial matter which had led to registration of present FIR and they have now settled their disputes
voluntarily, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
