% 06.11.2017 Respondent no. 2 Ms. Neelam is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Rabinder, PS Mangol Puri. Respondent no. 2 (wife) says that after lodging of FIR, she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 (husband). She submits that she has started living with the petitioner no.1 for the last 21⁄2 years. A child has also born out from their wedlock on 27th February, 2016. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled all the disputes with the petitioner no.1 and his relatives i.e. petitioner nos. 2 to 6, of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Respondent no. 2 further submits that in view of the settlement, she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living together after resolving their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to

keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice FIR No.2055/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Mangol Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
