W.P.(CRL) 3061/2017 Learned counsel for the petitioner has informed this court that the petitioner was granted parole for 4 weeks by the competent authority. The parole period ends on 09.11.2017.
The petitioner has also filed an application seeking extension of the aforesaid parole as his sister is getting married on 28.11.2017 and his presence as a brother is required. The aforesaid application for extension of parole has not been acted upon.
Mr. R.S. Kundu, learned ASC submits that in case the application which has been sent by the petitioner by post is received by the competent authority, the competent authority would pass necessary orders. On such assurance of the learned counsel for the State, Mr. Dhan Mohan, learned advocate for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present writ petition.
