The petitioners have moved the present petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, 1950 read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.401/2018, under Sections 323/354/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at PS:Janak Puri, New Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom.

The petitioners and respondent Nos.2, 3 and 4 as well as their respective counsel submitted that the parties have settled their disputes inter se between themselves vide Settlement dated 28.11.2018 with the intervention of respectable members of the society/locality and they are now living peacefully and assure the Court that in future also, they will live peacefully.

The Investigating Officer ('IO'), who is present in Court, has identified the petitioners as well as respondent Nos.2, 3 and 4 and has verified about the Settlement.

Respondent Nos.2, 3 and 4 submitted that the aforesaid Settlement has been executed between the parties on their own free will, without any force, pressure, coercion or threat whatsoever. Respondent Nos.2, 3 and 4 further submitted that they have no objection to the petition being allowed and the FIR being quashed.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances and the Settlement arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the parties entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 401/2018, under Sections 323/354/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at PS:Janak Puri, New Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in above terms.
