Crl.M.C.4561/2017 Respondent no.2 Mr.Sanjay Gupta is present in Court and has been identified by SI Yad Ram of police station Moti Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter with the petitioner of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion vide Settlement Deed dated 02.11.2017. Petitioner has offered to pay ₹20,000/- to the respondent no.2 towards mental pain, agony and trauma

suffered by him. Respondent no.2 has accepted the amount and says that he has no objection in case FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR no. 337/2016 under Sections 384/341/506 IPC registered at Police Station Moti Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
