CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR
O R D E R
% 27.11.2015 The petitioner has challenged the order dated 28.8.2015 passed by the competent authority whereby his prayer for being released on parole on the ground of maintaining social ties and to curb inner stress has been rejected. The rejection is primarily on the ground of adverse police report. The competent authority has also taken note of the fact that the petitioner had last availed of four weeks of parole upto 12.11.2014 by the order of Delhi High Court and thereafter for about six weeks of furlough. The latest nominal roll would disclose that the petitioner was released on furlough for two weeks by the order of competent authority from 29.9.2015 to 12.10.2015.
The petitioner has been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 7 years and fine of Rs.3,000/-; in default of payment of fine he has been
directed to suffer rigorous imprisonment for six months. He has remained in jail for approximately 5 years by now and only few months, after excluding remission, are left for completing the sentence. No good ground has been made out by the petitioner for interfering with the order of the competent authority.
The petition is dismissed.
