% 13.12.2018 This writ petition is directed against the action of the respondent in declining the renewal of his conductor's license vide impugned letter dated 12.09.2017 on the grounds Rules 17(2)(iii) and 17(6) of the Delhi Motor Vehicle Rules 1993 does not allow the applicant being appointed as the bus conductor. The petitioner herein was appointed as a conductor on contractual basis on the basis of a notification vide No.16-70-2004-DD.III of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India and was granted license in the year 2014, renewed till 2017 but in complete disregard of the scheme the respondent has failed to consider his renewal of license in 2017-18 despite he being a handicapped person but fit as per the scheme.

The learned counsel for the respondent has appeared and submits the department is considering the case of the petitioner favourably providing he is medically fit as per the guidelines/ scheme under which he was so appointed.

In view of the submissions so made, the petition is disposed of. Pending application stands disposed of in terms of above. YOGESH KHANNA, J.
