O R D E R

% 08.11.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent Nos.2 and 3 are neighbours. A quarrel took place between them on a trivial matter which had led to registration of the present FIR No.8/2011 under Sections 307/34 IPC, Police Station Farsh Bazar on the complaint of respondent No.2. As per the FIR, petitioner nos.2 and 3 caught hold of respondent no.3 while petitioner no.1 stabbed him on left side due to which he sustained grievous injuries. It is stated that petitioners and respondent nos. 2 and 3 have now settled the matter amicably with the intervention of their common friends on 13th October, 2017.

Respondent nos. 2 and 3 are present in Court and have been identified by SI Arun Ahlawat of P.S. Farsh Bazar. Respondent nos. 2 and 3 admit having settled the matter with the petitioners of their own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. They further

submits that they are not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as detailed above, and particularly the fact that the quarrel took place spontaneously and it was not pre-meditated; and now the parties have settled their disputes amicably in order to maintain harmonious relations in future, in the interest of justice, FIR No.8/2011 under Sections 307/34 IPC, Police Station Farsh Bazar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, in view of the settlement.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
