% 30.08.2018 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 are friends. quarrel took place between them on some trivial issues, which led to registration of FIR no. 275/2017 under Section 307 IPC and Section 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act at police station Prashant Vihar on the complaint of respondent no. 2.

With the interventions of their common friends and other family members, petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably; therefore, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. It is submitted that trial is at the initial stage and complainant has yet not been examined. Petitioner

has compensated respondent no. 2 by paying `25,000/- to him towards the medical expenses. Respondent no. 2 Mr. Amit is present in Court and has been identified by SI Randeep of police station Prashant Vihar. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner of his own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Affidavit of respondent no. 2 is also on record, wherein he has stated that he has no objection in case aforesaid FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
