CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 18.09.2018 Respondent no. 2 is present in Court today and has been identified by ASI Vijay Kumar, Police Station Mianwali Nagar. Respondent no. 2 states that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 30.03.2016. She states that in view of the settlement, she has no objection in case the FIR 90/2012 registered at Police Station Mianwali Nagar, Delhi under Section 354 IPC against the petitioner is quashed.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 before the Mediation Centre, which has been accepted by

the Trial Court by compounding the offence under Section 323 IPC, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending in respect of the offence under Section 354 IPC. Accordingly, the aforesaid FIR No.90/2012 under Section 354 IPC registered at Police Station Mianwali Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
