% 05.12.2017 By this petition the petitioner had sought extension of parole granted by the competent authority vide order dated 4th October, 2017. When the present writ petition came up before this Court on 10th November, 2017, disposing of the writ petition this Court granted extension for one week hoping that the competent authority would decide the application. Since no application was decided, petitioner filed Crl.M.A. 18987/2017 for extension of parole.

Learned Standing Counsel for the State has handed-over the report from the competent authority stating that the application of the petitioner seeking extension of parole has been acceded to and the petitioner has been granted extension of parole for a period of two weeks. For the reason the petitioner was not granted any extension, the petitioner has already surrendered and a surrender report has been submitted by Superintendent Tihar Jail No.3.

In view of the fact that the petitioner has surrendered to custody for non-extension of interim bail, the communication dated 1st December, 2017 passed by the competent authority granting extension of parole for two weeks would be treated as a fresh grant of parole to the petitioner for a period of two weeks on the same terms and conditions granted vide order dated 4th October, 2017.

Copy of the order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent Tihar Jail.

Petition is disposed of.
