Respondent no. 2 has been identified by SI Pawan Kumar of police station Farsh Bazar. It is submitted that the petitioner is father-in-law of the respondent no. 2.
On account of marital discord between the respondent no. 2 and her husband, FIR No.65/2011 under Section 498-A IPC was registered at Police Station Farsh Bazar against her husband on the complaint of respondent no. 2. The aforesaid FIR has already been quashed by this Court today vide order passed in Crl. M.C. No. 2008/2018 titled Anuj Gupta vs. The State Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
It is submitted that this case has also been settled between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Court, Delhi on 25th February, 2015. Affidavit of respondent No.2 in this regard is also on record at pages 14-15. Respondent No.2 says that she has no objection in case FIR No. 958/2014 under Section 354 IPC registered at P.S. Frash Bazar is quashed against the petitioner. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 958/2014 under Section 354 IPC registered at P.S. Frash Bazar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
