Issue notice. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents accepts notice.

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that respondents be directed to decide the application filed by the petitioner for release of the vehicle. The petitioner was arrested and his vehicle (Maruti Swift Dezire, bearing No. DL-2C-AN-5288) was seized. The petitioner also states that an FIR No. 79 of 2017 was registered under Section 33/38/58 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 on 21.04.2017.

It is the petitioner's case that his application for the release of the

vehicle has been pending since 26.05.2017.

The petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to decide the petitioner's application as expeditiously as possible and in any event within a period of eight weeks from today. VIBHU BAKHRU, J NOVEMBER 14, 2017 RK
