O R D E R

% 12.03.2018 Counsel for the respondent no. 2 submits that entire settled amount stands paid; therefore, respondent no. 2 has no objection in case offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 ("the Act", for short) is permitted to be compounded by this Court. In view of the compromise arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 and the fact that settled amount also stands paid, in the interest of justice, offence under Section 138 of the Act is compounded and petitioner is acquitted. Surety bond is discharged.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
