$~24 *
IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI
+ CRL.M.C. 4738/2017 JOGINDER & ANR ..... Petitioners Through Mr. R.S. Dakha and Mr. Sunny Jain, Advs.
versus THE STATE GOVT OF NCT OF DELHI & ORS ..... Respondents Through Ms. Meenakshi Dahiya, APP with ASI Hariom, P.S. Moti Nagar for respondent nol. 1 Respondent nos. 2 to 6 in person
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 27.02.2018 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 6 are neighbours.
A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issues, which had led to registration of the FIR No. 308/2017 under Sections 323/354/354(B)/34 IPC at Police Station Moti Nagar on the complaint of respondent no. 2. With the intervention of their common friends and other family members, petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 6 have settled their disputes amicably; therefore, aforesaid FIR, which is at the investigation stage, may be quashed. Respondent nos. 2 to 6 are present in Court and
have been identified by ASI Hariom of Police Station Moti Nagar. Respondent nos. 2 to 6 submit that they have settled the matter with the petitioners of their own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and they have no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent nos.2 to 6 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.
308/2017 under Sections 323/354/354(B)/34 IPC registered at Police Station Moti Nagar, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
