By this application the petitioner seeks reduction of surety amount as directed vide order dated 5th January, 2018.

Learned Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice. 4.

Petitioner was granted parole by this Court vide order dated 5th January, 2018 subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety of the like amount, to the satisfaction of learned Trial Court/CMM. The petitioner has not been able to furnish the said surety bond.

A perusal of the record reveals that the petitioner has been granted parole as well furloughs. Vide communication dated 16th May, 2017 the petitioner was granted furlough subject to his furnishing surety bond of W.P.(CRL) 3252/2017

₹10,000/- and the petitioner has surrendered thereafter. 6.

Considering the facts noted above, order dated 5th January, 2018 passed by this Court is modified. The petitioner be now released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of the Superintendent, Central Jail No. 13, Mandoli.
