O R D E R

% 05.12.2017 The petitioner is undergoing life imprisonment. He has already spent 13 years 8 months and 10 days as of the 5th November, 2017. He has earlier been released on parole in the year 2013 and in 2015 and then on furlough in July, 2017. He has surrendered to the jail authorities albeit after a delay of 3 days in 2013. According to the Status Report filed by the State, the address given by the petitioner has been verified. In the circumstances, a case is made out for release of the petitioner on parole for maintaining his social ties.

Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to be released on parole for one month from the date of his release subject to his furnishing a

personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent concerned subject to the following conditions:- (1) The petitioner shall report to the SHO concerned once a week on every Tuesday during the period of parole.

(2) He shall furnish his mobile telephone which shall be operational at all times, to the SHO concerned.

(3) He shall not leave the territory of NCT of Delhi. (4) The petitioner shall surrender before the jail authorities at the expiry of the period of parole.

With the above directions the writ petition is disposed off. A copy of this order be sent to the Jail Superintendent concerned and be also delivered to the said Jail Superintendent through the police. NAJMI WAZIRI, J DECEMBER 05, 2017/acm
