% 24.10.2016 Present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 25th February, 2015 passed by the Division Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) No.1772/2015, whereby the petitioner's writ petition with regard to inclusion of "Coronary Stents" in the list of essential medicines was directed to be treated as a representation and to be disposed of within a period of three months.
Today in Court, learned counsel for the respondent/UOI has handed over a copy of the notification dated 19th July, 2016 issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, wherein it is stated that the Govt. of India has decided to accept and operationalise the recommendations of the Sub-Committee with regard to inclusion of the Coronary Stents in the NLEM 2015 with immediate effect. A
copy of the said notification is taken on record. In view thereof, present contempt petition is disposed of as satisfied.
