O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 53/2017 This petition under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act') has been filed by the petitioner praying for extension of time in making the Award in the arbitration proceedings titled as Era Infra Engineering Ltd. v. Soni Infratech Pvt. Ltd., pending before Hon'ble Mr.Justice Kailash Gambhir (Retd.). It is submitted by the learned counsel for the parties that in spite of arbitration being conducted with expedition, there is a natural delay in the conclusion of the same inasmuch as various issues are involved and oral evidence is being led. They jointly pray that the time period be extended at least by eight months.

In view of the submission made, I hereby extend the time period for making the Award in the arbitration proceedings by a further period of eight months.

The petition is allowed in the above terms.
