The petitioner has filed the present petition impugning an order dated 12.05.2017 passed by the Maintenance Tribunal for Senior Citizens (hereafter 'the Maintenance Tribunal'). A perusal of the order indicates that the same was passed in absence of the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner could not appear on the said date on account of election and examination duties.

In the circumstances, the petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the Maintenance Tribunal for recall of the order. In the event, such application is made within a period of one week from today the same would be considered sympathetically and an appropriate order would be passed after giving due opportunity to the petitioner as well

as the respondent.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observations. 5.
