CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

% 13.09.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1. Respondent No. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and accepts notice. Respondent no.2 has been identified by SI Davender of police station Dabri. It is submitted that the petitioners and respondent no.2 are neighbours and have settled the matter amicably with the intervention of their friends and family members. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record. Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter with the petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or

coercion and he has no objection in case FIR No. 659/2017 under Section 380 IPC registered at Police Station Dabri and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioners. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J SEPTEMBER 13, 2018 Bisht
