O R D E R

% 20.11.2017 By way of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Cr.P.C.), the petitioners seeks protection as they apprehend a threat to their life, limb and liberty from respondent no. 3, i.e., the father of the petitioner no. 1. Issue notice.

Mr. Rajesh Mahajan, the learned Additional Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the State.

At the request of the parties, the petition is taken up for disposal. The petitioner has recorded her statement before the Ld. MM concerned on 14.11.2017 under section 164 Cr. P.C. to the effect that she has married petitioner no. 2 of her own free volition. In the circumstance, they are free to live together without hindrance from any quarter. In view of the above, the SHO of Police Station-Kailash Nath Katju Marg, Delhi is directed to interact with the petitioners, understand their threat apprehensions and accord them protection, as may be necessary. The

telephone numbers of the petitioners shall be made available to the SHO, who in turn shall provide telephone numbers of two police officers to the petitioners including of one lady officer of the area concerned. These numbers shall be operational at all times, to facilitate intimation to them by the petitioners in case of any exigency. It is expected that any intimation on either of the numbers by either petitioner shall be attended to promptly. The petition is disposed off in the above terms. NAJMI WAZIRI, J.
