By this petition, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.386/2017 under Sections 323/341/506/34 IPC, Police Station Govindpuri, based on a settlement.

Parties are stated to be neighbours. It is contended that subject to a minor altercation, disputes arose between them and cross-FIRs were registered against each other. 3.

It is submitted that the FIR registered against the complainant in the subject case being FIR No.385/2017 under Sections 323/341/506/34 IPC, Police Station Govindpuri, has been quashed by an order of today's date, i.e. 01.03.2018 in Crl.M.C.No.4920/2017 4.

Parties have settled their disputes.

The Memorandum of CRL.M.C.4948/2017

Settlement dated 15.11.2017 has been executed between the parties. 5.

Respondent Nos.2 to 4 are present in person in Court, represented by counsel and identified by the Investigating Officer. They submit that they have settled their disputes through a Memorandum of Understanding dated 15.11.2017, which has been executed between the parties and they do not wish to press their complaint any further against the petitioners. 6.

In view of the above and keeping in view of the fact that the parties have resolved their dispute through a Memorandum of Settlement dated 15.11.2017 and respondent Nos. 2 to 4 do not wish to press their complaints, continuation of criminal proceedings will be an exercise in futility and justice in the case demands that the dispute between the parties is put to an end and peace is restored; securing the ends of justice being the ultimate guiding factor. It would be expedient to quash the subject FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom.

Accordingly, FIR No.386/2017 under Sections 323/341/506/34 IPC, Police Station Govindpuri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.
