O R D E R

This petition seeks following reliefs:

(i) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondent to convene Departmental Promotion Committee Meetings in a timely manner to fill the vacancies that may arise from time to time at all levels in the Managerial cadre (ii) To grant all benefits, i.e., financial benefits, seniority (from the date the vacancy occurred) consequent to the grant of relief (i) hereinabove.

(iii) To grant costs of this writ petition to the Petitioners herein, and;

Pass such order and any further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case.

By an affidavit dated 22.07.2016 the respondent has stated that the DPC was conducted as per the Amended Induction, Promotion and Transfer Policy dated 19.08.2015. The details are as under:

In view of the above, the first prayer sought in the petition has been duly met. The learned counsel for the petitioners states, upon instructions, that some of the results have not been released therefore, should the petitioners have any grievance apropos the said results, she would pursue the same in a subsequent petition.

Ms Pinky Anand, the learned ASG submits that for promotion from the post of General Manager to Chief General Manager the petitioners cannot have a grievance as it covers officers of a much senior level /zone of consideration.

In view of the above, the petition is dismissed as infructuous. Liberty granted.
