% 22.11.2017 Ms. Zera, respondent no.2 is present in the Court and has been identified by SI Ramesh Kumar of Police Station Sultan Puri. Respondent no.2 says that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 before the Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts, Delhi on 5th June 2017 (Annexure P-2). She further submits that she has settled the disputes with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and she is not willing to pursue FIR No.762/2014 under section 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Sultanpuri against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 5 and, therefore, the same may be quashed.

In terms of the settlement, petitioner no.1 has handed over a demand draft for a sum of `45,000/- to the respondent no.2 toward balance settled amount. (photocopy whereof is on record). Respondent no.2 submits that with

this payment entire settled amount stands paid. She has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case as detailed above, in the interest of justice, FIR No.762/2014 under section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Sultanpuri and the consequent proceedings emanating thereform are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
