Petitioners claim to be regular Tehbazari holders and are squatting in and around Palika Bazar, Connaught Place, New Delhi. Being aggrieved by unauthorised street vendors having allowed to vend in the non-vending zone, has led to the filing of the present writ petition. 2.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are licensed street vendors and tehbazari holders and have been working for their livelihood at Palika Bazar, Connaught Place, New Delhi for more than three decades. It is further contended that the respondents had allowed illegal and unauthorised street vendors to occupy vending sites at Connaught Place despite the fact that a consistent stand has been taken by the respondent NDMC that the area in question is a 'no hawking' and no 'vending zone'. Counsel for the petitioners has placed reliance on para 30 of the writ petition in support of his contention

that these unauthorised vendors and vendors mafias are also getting support from some political leaders. The petitioners seek a direction for removal of all the unauthorised vendors in the area in question. 3.

Mr.Sri Harsha Peechara, learned standing counsel for NDMC, on instructions, submits that on learning of the aforesaid facts, on the very next day, the unauthorised vendors were removed from the site, in question.. Mr.Peechara further submits that the respondent NDMC will continue to take strict actions for removal of all the unauthorised street vendors from the area in question. 4.

Having regard to the submissions made by Mr.Peechara, counsel for the petitioners submits that no further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition and the same may be disposed of. 5.
